Helping Hoops is delighted to announce Sportsmart as our inaugural Three Point Community Sponsor for 2014-15. Sportsmart will donate $40 to Helping Hoops for every three-pointer made by Melbourne United during the 2014-15 NBL season, with funds helping to sustaining and growing our free weekly basketball programs for disadvantaged and disabled children all across Melbourne.
Sportsmart prides itself on being the best at servicing the sporting needs of Melbournians. They are pioneers in offering Melbournians the best-valued sporting goods across all categories – from fitness to footwear, basketball to AFL, plus much more. As a privately owned family company, Sportsmart has been part of Melbourne’s sporting scene since 1969. Sportsmart have four stores throughout Melbourne, and an online store that ships Australia-wide.
Sportsmart’s mission: “To facilitate and inspire everybody’s desire to participate in sport and fitness.”
Helping Hoops is excited to engage with a company that holds values strongly aligned with our own. We are also pleased to interact with our Sporting Partners at Melbourne United through a campaign that is fun, innovative, and links the success of the team to the impact Helping Hoops can have on the community.
Updates will be provided in real-time during Melbourne United games, and we look forward to sharing how much we have raised thanks to Sportsmart. A donation thermometer has also been placed on the Helping Hoops website to track progress.
The Three Point Community Sponsorship will officially commence this Sunday, October 12, when Melbourne United play their first game of the 2014-15 NBL season.
