Over 150 people have now put their hand up to support Helping Hoops this coming weekend, making the 2014 24 Hour Charity Shootout the first sell-out in the event’s history!
In other event news, Stephen Dennis of the Melbourne United basketball club, is confirmed as our special guest and will attend the Shootout on Saturday, July 5 from 12pm. Come down and see Stephen hit as many free throws as he can in 15 minutes and talk to him about the upcoming NBL season.
Helping Hoop’ own Fume will be in attendance for the entire 24 Hour Charity Shootout, and will bring his bag of basketball freestyle tricks with a special surprise for all participants as they complete their 15 minutes of shooting.
The event is set to be the biggest in 24 Hour Charity Shootout history, and we encourage all fans of basketball to come down to Albert Park College (83 Danks St, Albert Park VIC 3206) on Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 9pm on both days to support the shooters as they help us reach our goal of 20,000 free throws!
Media are also encouraged to attend. A full media alert is available here: https://www.helpinghoops.com.au/wp-content/uploads/Helping-Hoops-Media-Alert.pdf
