Helping Hoops is proud to partner with the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) to tackle road trauma and champion safer roads across Victoria. This partnership will see the TAC become Helping Hoops’ Partner in Road Safety, activating through a summer holiday tournament featuring six Helping Hoops programs from across Melbourne.
With a heavy heart, we share the news that Adam McKay, the beloved founder of our organisation, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2024 after a short battle with stage 4 brain cancer.

By purchasing a ticket, you can enjoy a wonderful afternoon hearing about the impact Helping Hoops programs have in the community along with an all-star line-up of powerful voices from the sporting community! All while enjoying a fabulous lunch at The Carousel.
The 2020 AGM which will take place on Tuesday the 24th of November, at 7pm. This year, the meeting will be a virtual AGM via zoom. The meeting will also recap the year that has past as we come together as One Team.

Children and young people attending Helping Hoops programs may come from migrant or refugee backgrounds, living in inner-city public housing estates, have an intellectual disability or special needs, or may be socioeconomically disadvantaged in some way.
Helping Hoops aims to build self-esteem, provide a sense of belonging and community, aid social cohesion, instill discipline, develop goal setting and leadership skills, and promote a healthy and active lifestyle.
