Helping Hoops BOUNCE Fitzroy is a free, multicultural basketball program for children living on the Atherton Gardens public housing estate. The program runs every Monday from 5 to 7pm and is overseen by coach Tom White.

This program is situated in a vibrant, fun, but sometimes challenging environment. The future of the Fitzroy program is secure, with younger children stepping up and taking the opportunity to participate. Coach Omar and the volunteers have a clear focus on discipline and ensuring participants do not approach their inclusion in the program with a sense of entitlement. Best effort is expectation at Fitzroy, and the children continue to bring this effort on a weekly basis.
