How many free throws could you make in 15 minutes while raising money to support Helping Hoops?
That question will be answered by hundreds of supporters on the weekend of October 5 & 6 at Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre (MSAC) in Albert Park, Melbourne. This is the eighth year of the Charity Shootout, which has become the marquee event on the Helping Hoops calendar and helped raise hundreds-of-thousands to support our programs.

The fundraising goal for 2019 is $150,000, which Helping Hoops hopes to achieve through a combination of individual fundraisers and corporate support. Reaching this target allows us to unlock the plans we have in 2020 to grow Helping Hoops and reach even more children and young people through our free basketball programs.
Along with our fundraising target, we are looking to make 25,000 free throws across the weekend thanks to our supporters. Those unable to attend locally at MSAC will still have the opportunity to shoot and fundraise by signing up to participate at their local hoop. Throughout the years, we have had local shooters step up to the free throw line from across the world, making the Charity Shootout a truly global event.
The Charity Shootout is so much more than a fundraiser. For those attending at MSAC, a festival awaits with plenty of attractions on offer, including a Celebrity All Star Game, arcade games, kids activities, and more to be announced soon.
We would love to have your support at the 2019 Charity Shootout. Click here to sign up to shoot and fundraise, or here to learn about how your business can get behind the event and enable Helping Hoops to do more in the community.
