Local business LeasePLUS has conducted a series of workplace giving initiatives to raise funds for Helping Hoops, and has successfully raised over $1,200. The events have included a lunch, a poker tournament and chocolate drive, and have been driven solely by the staff with support from management.
LeasePLUS CEO, Leigh Penberthy, and Jim Glenn, who spearheaded the campaign, came along to the Helping Hoops Fitzroy program to present a cheque to Helping Hoops, and also meet some of the children who will directly benefit from the company’s generosity.
Workplace giving initiatives like this are a great way for companies to give back to their local community. LeasPLUS has shown that workplace giving can, if done right, also be a team building and moral boosting activity that brings staff together.
