All this season, local sports retailer Sportsmart have been donating $40 for every three-point shot made by Melbourne United. With 12 games played, the tally has crept up to $5,000, with still plenty more to come.
The partnership has been a lot of fun and has created some great content and excitement on game days, with each three being live tweeted by Helping Hoops volunteers. A recent game in November against Adelaide set a new record, with Melbourne United hitting 22 threes, and a massive $880 being generated for Helping Hoops thanks to the generosity of Sportsmart.
