The Huddle is the community arm of the North Melbourne Football Club and benefits many local young people in the community, particularly those from a multicultural and migrant background. The recent launch of the Helping Hoops North Melbourne program has been supported by The Huddle, and we are excited to expand the partnership in 2014, both at the North Melbourne Football Club and the North Melbourne Community Centre, where Helping Hoops runs its weekly program.

Children and young people attending Helping Hoops programs may come from migrant or refugee backgrounds, living in inner-city public housing estates, have an intellectual disability or special needs, or may be socioeconomically disadvantaged in some way.
Helping Hoops aims to build self-esteem, provide a sense of belonging and community, aid social cohesion, instill discipline, develop goal setting and leadership skills, and promote a healthy and active lifestyle.
