A perfect summer’s day greeted all in attendance on Saturday, February 7 for the 2016 instalment of Melbourne’s premiere streetball tournament, the Prahran Summer Jam. The Summer Jam featured some of Melbourne’s best streetball players, along with skate competitions, music, dunk contest and a host of other attractions that kept the bumper crowd entertained from morning until evening.
Helping Hoops played our small part by running clinics and games for some of the younger spectators on a specially built court provided by MSF Sports. Coach Steve, and volunteer Aron, used the event to spread the word on Helping Hoops and show just how we impact underprivileged kids through our free programs.
Thanks to all who made the Summer Jam the huge success it was, and congratulations to the teams, players and spectators for coming together to celebrate basketball in its purest form.
