For those who grew up in the 1980s and 90s, Dennis Rodman personified hard work, tenacity, and sheer determination. “The Worm” could not be out-rebounded by anyone else on the court; if there was a board or loose ball up for grabs, you could bet Rodman was going to out-work his opponents and come up with it.
We are excited to announce that Helping Hoops will have the rare opportunity to take a select group of kids along to meet the 5-time NBA Champion when he visits Australia in February, 2015. These children will get the chance to learn what it takes to succeed at the highest level and ask Rodman about his own victories and struggles on and off the court.
Rodman, renowned as one of sports’ most colourful and controversial athletes of all-time, is heading to Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide in February 2015 for a rare insight into his highly publicised life on and off the hardwood. From his five NBA championships with the Detroit Pistons and the Chicago Bulls playing alongside Michael Jordan and Isiah Thomas, to his celebrity relationships and more.
