Jenny volunteers at Helping Hoops Broadmeadows every Tuesday and has been involved for around two years. Jenny describes Helping Hoops as a lot of fun and a chance for kids to participate in activities they ordinarily wouldn’t get a chance to.
“I personally enjoy seeing the kids when they achieve something as simple as shooting a goal, tying up their shoelaces, running up and down the court, or completing a program. Just the simple things that they ordinarily wouldn’t get the chance to do.”
“Basketball allows the kids to feel good about themselves and to feel valued.”
