When Helping Hoops ran its first program in 2010, that program was delivered by someone who has become a friend and role model for hundreds of kids, Coach Mike.
Coach Mike has been a big part of making Helping Hoops what it is today through his passion, skills, positive attitude and big smile he brings to everything he does.
After almost 5 years, Mike is ready for his next challenge and has decided he will not be able to continue his coaching duties with Helping Hoops. We’re working hard to find a successor to Mike (they’re very big shoes to fill!) and programs will continue with the support of Coach Omar, Coach Renee, the dozens of volunteer assistant coaches that contribute each week and a number of our friends.
We know Mike will always be a friend to us, so join us in wishing him all the best in his new adventures. Good luck Mike, and here are some of the many, many highlights of his time at Helping Hoops.
